Audio-Technica - Replacement Stylus AT-VMN45xML

Genuine Audio-Technica AT-VMN45xML replacement stylus — the same nude MicroLinear diamond as the VMN40xML, mounted on a 0.28 mm solid boron cantilever.

Boron is stiffer and lighter than aluminum, so it transmits the stylus's movement to the coils with less flex and less stored energy. On a MicroLinear tip, which is already resolving the finest modulation in the groove, that difference shows up as cleaner high-frequency tracking.

The diamond itself is identical to the AT-VMN40xML — nude MicroLinear, 2.2 x 0.12 mil, same tracking force, same rated life. The cantilever is the whole difference between them. Audio-Technica lists it for the AT-VM745xML and for the legacy VM540ML and VM740ML, so it also works as an in-place cantilever upgrade for those older cartridges.
