The AT-VM95SH sits at the top of Audio-Technica's VM95 range, built on the company's VM dual magnet design: two magnets arranged in a V shape to match the left and right channels cut into the record groove, giving excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. The durable, low-resonance polymer housing features threaded inserts for simple two-screw mounting on any half-inch headshell — no nuts required.

Its 2.7 x 0.26 mil Shibata stylus uses nude square-shank construction on an aluminum pipe cantilever. The Shibata's slender line-contact profile rides deeper and truer in the groove than conical or elliptical tips, resolving fine high-frequency information while spreading contact pressure to be gentle on your records. As with every VM95 body, it accepts any AT-VMN95 replacement stylus, so upgrading or swapping profiles never means re-mounting a cartridge.
