Once Twice Melody is the eighth studio album by Beach House — a sprawling double album of 18 songs presented in four chapters. Across these tracks the duo explores many styles and structures, from songs without drums and acoustic-guitar-centered pieces to fully electronic compositions and string-laden arrangements, all while keeping the drum machines, organs and keyboard tones longtime listeners associate with the band. Written and recorded between 2018 and 2021, mostly at Apple Orchard Studio in Baltimore, it was mixed largely by Alan Moulder.
