Beck kept fans guessing after Sea Change, and in 2005 he returned with the genre-mashing Guero, which became his highest-charting album to date when it hit #2 on the Billboard 200. Reuniting with the Dust Brothers (with an assist from producer Tony Hoffer), Beck stitches together Latin rhythms, hip-hop beats, samples, blues, soul and 8-bit electronics into one freewheeling ride. Lead single "E-Pro" topped the Billboard Modern Rock chart, while "Girl," "Hell Yes" and "Go It Alone" (featuring Jack White on bass) became instant fan favorites.
