Thickfreakness is the 2003 sophomore album from Akron blues-rock duo The Black Keys, recorded largely in a single marathon session in drummer Patrick Carney's basement. Raw, fuzzed-out and immediate, it captures Dan Auerbach's grimy slide guitar and Carney's heavy backbeat at their most primal, from the title track to a blistering cover of "Have Love Will Travel."
