Led by the charismatic Oluko Imo, Ifetayo was the only release from this Afro-centric Trinidadian band, who looked past the funk of the USA toward Africa—fusing rhythms from Africa and the West Indies with jazz, funk, calypso, and soul. Long out of print, it remains a unique and forward-thinking record.
