Speakers Corner Audiophile Vinyl Reissue
Child Is Father to the Man (1968) is the debut album from Blood, Sweat & Tears, made under the direction of Al Kooper, who sings, plays keyboards, and wrote or arranged much of the material. Blending pop, jazz, and classical influences with a horn-driven sound, it stands apart from the band's later David Clayton-Thomas era and remains a cornerstone of the brass-rock movement.
