180-Gram High Quality Pressing — Remastered by Ray Staff
Boz Scaggs is a unique and marvelous singer, his soulful voice by turns silky-smooth and sensual or funky and upbeat. That voice comes through superbly across the ten tracks of 1976's Silk Degrees. Scaggs wrote or co-wrote most of the album with future Toto keyboardist David Paich, and the result is a slick, sophisticated blend of Philly soul-influenced pop and rock, complete with a cover of Allen Toussaint's "What Do You Want the Girl to Do."
