Bruce Hornsby's 'Flicted (2022) is the third in a trilogy of song collections drawn largely from film music he wrote for Spike Lee. Reaching for new stylistic places and a more upbeat feel, the record ranges from pandemic-era reflections to recurring themes from the world of science, and includes the first cover Hornsby has ever placed on a studio release — a reimagining of Chuck Berry's "Too Much Monkey Business." Guests include Danielle Haim and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend.
