Recorded for Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label in 1969–70, Christine Perfect is the debut solo album from the singer and keyboardist who would soon become Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac. Made just after she left Chicken Shack, it blends British blues, soul, and soft rock and includes her celebrated cover of Etta James's "I'd Rather Go Blind," a UK Top 10 hit. Fleetwood Mac's Danny Kirwan and John McVie guest on "When You Say."
