Vinyl LP — The Last Album Recorded by Lester 'Prez' Young, Sam Records Reissue

In January 1959, Lester Young was in Paris for a series of concerts at the famous Blue Note Club, performing with René Urtreger on piano, Kenny Clarke on drums, Jimmy Gourley on guitar, and Jamil Nasser on bass. On March 4, 1959, Eddie Barclay recorded Young at Studio Barclay in Paris — the session that would become his final album. A poignant historical document, it captures the grace and genius of Prez just days before his death in New York on March 15, 1959. Originally issued as Barclay 84.069.
