Aladdin Sane is David Bowie's sixth album, released in 1973 as the follow-up to The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust. Famously described by Bowie as "Ziggy goes to America," most of its songs were written on the road during his 1972 US tour. It remains one of his most celebrated works, featuring Mike Garson's wild piano and the singles "The Jean Genie" and "Drive-In Saturday."
