Death were a Black power trio from Detroit who recorded these proto-punk blasts in the mid-1970s, only to have them go largely unheard for decades. Inspired by the raw energy of the Stooges and MC5, the three Hackney brothers pushed beyond their funk and R&B roots into uncharted territory. ...For the Whole World to See collects their 1975 single and five further tracks, finally issued by Drag City in 2009.
