Okemah Rising is the second and final installment of Dropkick Murphys' collaboration with the writings of folk icon Woody Guthrie, following 2022's This Machine Still Kills Fascists. Where that record aimed to raise consciousness, Okemah Rising aims to raise the roof — a rowdier, party-leaning set that still carries Guthrie's steadfast defense of the working class and his fight against injustice. Named for Guthrie's Oklahoma hometown.
