The Long Run is the sixth studio album by the Eagles, released in 1979 on Asylum. The first Eagles album to feature bassist Timothy B. Schmit in place of Randy Meisner, it debuted at #2 and soon hit #1, spending eight weeks atop the chart. It spawned three Top 10 singles, including the Grammy-winning "Heartache Tonight," the title track, and the ballad "I Can't Tell You Why."
