Miami-born soul singer Ella Washington recorded her sole self-titled LP for Sound Stage 7 at Music City Recorders in Nashville, guided early in her career by Miami soulmen Clarence Reid and Paul Kelly. An all-killer, no-filler set of strong ballads arranged to showcase her raw, emotive vocals, it includes her 1969 top-40 R&B hit "He Called Me Baby," which earned a Grammy nomination. Newly remastered and pressed on audiophile virgin vinyl.
