2020 release. Fetch the Bolt Cutters is the fifth studio album by singer-songwriter Fiona Apple, her first since 2012's The Idler Wheel.... Recorded largely at Apple's home in Venice Beach with Amy Aileen Wood, Sebastian Steinberg and Davíd Garza, it was built from long, often-improvised takes and unconventional percussion — including non-musical found objects Apple described as "percussion orchestras." The result is a deeply experimental record that resists genre and subverts traditional pop structures.
