Skinty Fia is the third album from Irish band Fontaines D.C., following 2020's GRAMMY-nominated A Hero's Death. Used colloquially as an expletive, the title roughly translates from Irish as "the damnation of the deer." Part bittersweet romance and part darkly political triumph, the songs form a long-distance love letter that laments an increasingly privatized culture in danger of going the way of the extinct Irish giant deer.
