Foo Fighters is the 1995 debut album by the band of the same name, written and recorded almost entirely by Dave Grohl in the wake of Nirvana's end. Grohl played nearly every instrument himself with producer Barrett Jones at Robert Lang Studios in Seattle, describing the sessions as a cathartic experience. The result launched one of rock's most enduring bands, with early favorites "This Is a Call," "I'll Stick Around" and "Big Me."
