Fraction's 1971 private-press classic Moon Blood is one of the most revered records in the psych / acid-rock underground, with originals commanding thousands of dollars. Recorded in under three hours at Whitney's Studio in Glendale, the LA band — led by Jim Beach's Morrison-esque baritone and Don Swanson's blown-out fuzz guitar — cut an intense, dark slab of proto-stoner rock. This reissue makes the long-bootlegged album widely available again.
