Freddie King is one of the most influential blues guitarists of any generation — a guitar hero before there was 'Guitar Hero.' Recorded in October 1970 at Chess Studios in Chicago and released in 1971, Getting Ready... was King's first album for Leon Russell's Shelter Records. The backing band includes Russell on piano, Duck Dunn on bass and Chuck Blackwell on drums. This Analogue Productions reissue was pressed at Quality Record Pressings.
