Following their debut album and a one-off cover of Gershwin's "Summertime," Fun Boy Three returned to the studio at the end of 1982 with David Byrne of Talking Heads producing. Waiting features the singles "The More I See (The Less I Believe)," "The Tunnel of Love" and "Our Lips Are Sealed" (co-written with Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go's), trading the band's early edge for a more sophisticated sound and pointed lyrical content. It reached No. 14 in the UK in February 1983.
