Solid Gold is the second studio album by British post-punk pioneers Gang of Four, originally released in 1981. Sharpening the angular funk-punk attack of their landmark debut, the band pairs jagged guitar, dub-inflected rhythm and sharply political lyrics into a tense, danceable whole. Two of its tracks, "Outside the Trains Don't Run on Time" and "He'd Send in the Army," are re-recordings of songs previously issued as a UK single.
