Taking its name from William Steig's The Zabajaba Jungle, Zaba is a richly textured, immersive work best heard start to finish — its woozy, percussive songs exploring the humanization of nature and human interference with it. Inspired by everything from Kanye West and Nina Simone to Charles Darwin and the Velvet Underground.
