Widely acknowledged as one of the greatest singer-songwriters of all time, Gordon Lightfoot singled out London's Royal Albert Hall as one of his favourite venues, recording his seventh appearance there on May 24, 2016. In the final weeks before his passing in 2023, Lightfoot insisted this live album be released, approving the artwork and allowing no edits, overdubs or re-sequencing. The double set captures every song in the order played — right down to the encore — by Gordon and his band, featuring his best-known hits alongside songs never previously released on a live album.
