Patience, Moonbeam is Great Grandpa's first album in five years, built not in the pressure-cooker of a studio but through a generous, generative demoing process with Dylan at the helm of production and mixing. With fewer constraints and more control, the band chased rabbit holes and reworked songs until they stuck, yielding their most ambitious and confident-sounding record yet. All of their signature elements remain — Pat's nontraditional song structures and hooky melodies, Al's soothing yet stirring lead vocals — now matched by an expanded palette of songwriters and sounds.
