Grimes' 2015 breakthrough on 4AD — 14 tracks written, played and produced entirely by Claire Boucher.
Recorded mostly in her Los Angeles home studio, Art Angels brings more live instrumentation than any earlier Grimes record, with Boucher playing piano, guitar and violin herself. Guests include Janelle Monáe and Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes on her most ambitious album to that point.
