After the success of their debut Too Hot To Handle, funk/disco band Heatwave followed up with Central Heating in 1978. Produced by Barry Blue, the album marked the final appearance of Rod Temperton as an official member of the band, before he went on to write several hit singles for Michael Jackson. Central Heating features "The Groove Line", "Mind Blowing Decisions" and "The Star Of A Story", which remain popular to this day; the latter has since been sampled by A Tribe Called Quest, among others.
