The House That Dirt Built is the second album from British soul-rock outfit The Heavy, originally released in 2009. Built on scuzzy guitars, beaten-up drums, and a love of vintage sampling, it delivers garage-funk monsters like the voodoo-funk single How You Like Me Now? and the epic, spaghetti-western Short Change Hero. Mixed and produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele), with backing vocals from Shingai Shoniwa of the Noisettes on three tracks, it is larger than life, funny, terrifying, and occasionally beautiful.
