Demon Records continues its comprehensive reappraisal of the iconic Ian Dury's catalogue with a vinyl reissue of 1979's classic Do It Yourself. The first Ian Dury album co-credited to The Blockheads, whose Chas Jankel provided the musical setting for Dury's lyrics, it followed the huge success of New Boots and Panties!! and reached UK No. 2. True to form, Dury insisted no singles be lifted from the album, offering instead ten brand-new songs; highlights like "Sink My Boats," "Inbetweenies" and "Dance of the Screamers" came to be regarded as classics, and the album was praised for its innovative "wallpaper" artwork and immaculate musicianship.
