New Orleans-born drummer Idris Muhammad turns in arguably his strongest jazz date as a leader, recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio in September 1980. Tenor saxophonists George Coleman and Pharoah Sanders are both in top form across six powerful tracks — originals from Muhammad and bassist Ray Drummond plus a stirring reading of Billy Eckstine's "I Want to Talk About You." The title track is dedicated to Muhammad's youngest daughter. Inventive, passionate modern jazz.
