Isotek V5 Aquarius Power Conditioner with Premier C19 Power Cable
A six-outlet power conditioner in which every socket gets its own dedicated cleaning network — six power cleaners in a single box, supplied with IsoTek's Premier C19 cable.
The original Aquarius was one of the most cost-effective power cleaning upgrades money could buy. The V5 model takes the concept higher. There is more instant on-tap power thanks to a 35% increase in circuit board copper loading, direct current resistance is at least 25% improved, moving closer to the ideal of zero ohms, and protection is raised to 81,000A instantaneous. Two high-current outlets are provided for amplifiers and subwoofers, with four medium-current sockets for other components.
Both differential mode and common mode noise are dramatically reduced. Cross-contamination between connected components is kept to a minimum thanks to the multiple cleaning stages on each output socket. Most power filters join output sockets together, running each in series — an error, since differential mode noise created by your electronics will cross-contaminate from one socket to the next.
The electrical architecture has been reworked throughout. PCB design and topology offer over 35% improved amperage and decreased resistance, and bespoke critical components have better overall tolerances with improved inductance and current handling. The new circuit offers twice the inductance with a 40% increase in current, leading to more open soundstaging, better micro dynamics and detail, and more immediate timing.
Two thermomagnetic fuses are fitted: one rated at 16A for the two high-current sockets, delivering 3,680W at 230V or 1,840W at 115V, and one at 6A for the four medium-current sockets, delivering 1,380W at 230V or 690W at 115V. The medium-current outlets feature IsoTek's Adaptive Gating technology, which auto-senses the connected load and delivers optimal clean power based on power draw. The thermomagnetic system is a substantial upgrade over an ordinary fuse: by virtue of its electrical function a standard fuse must use very thin wire, whereas the IsoTek system offers at least 1,000 times the contact area and a consistently strong connection.
KERP (Kirchhoff's Equal Resistance Path) ensures equal resistance and equal power delivery to all outlets. Internal wiring uses ultra-pure Ohno Continuous Cast copper solid-core conductor strands with silver plating for low resistance and high amperage. A fluorinated ethylene propylene helix is wound around the conductor before an extruded FEP dielectric protects it and creates a Virtual Dielectric of Air. A System Link outlet allows multiple units to be connected together while maintaining a starred earth reference.
IsoTek's award-winning Premier power cable is included.
