Both Sides of the Sky presents thirteen studio recordings, ten of them never before released, made mostly during a fertile two-year period between January 1968 and 1970. It completes a trilogy of archival albums (with Valleys of Neptune and People, Hell & Angels) presenting the best unissued studio recordings in the Hendrix archive, including alternate versions of "Stepping Stone," "Lover Man" and "Hear My Train a Comin'," plus collaborations with Johnny Winter and Stephen Stills. Mixed by Eddie Kramer and produced by Janie Hendrix, Kramer and John McDermott.
