Released in October 1974, Fear is a pivotal album in John Cale's long career, faithfully replicating the original Island Records UK release. It marked Cale's return to recording in London, where he reunited with admirers Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno to bring his music back to the rawer sound of his earlier work.
