Recorded during the same fall 1960 sessions as My Favorite Things, Coltrane's Sound is one of the most rewarding entries in John Coltrane's catalog, with each of its six pieces bearing the unmistakable stamp of his early-'60s style. Although the tracks were cut in 1960, the album was not released until 1964. This audiophile reissue was mastered from the original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman and pressed at Pallas in Germany.
