A wonderful Mike Vernon production originally released on his Blue Horizon label, recorded in 1968 by Malcolm Chisholm at Chess Records' Ter-Mar studios in Chicago, the same room that produced the audiophile classic Muddy Waters - Folk Singer. Johnny Shines, the ultimate Delta bluesman as both singer and guitarist, is heard at the height of his powers, joined by the cream of Chicago blues: Big Walter Horton on harp, Willie Dixon on bass, Clifton James on drums, and Otis Spann on piano. Killer sound throughout.
