The Asylum Albums (1972-1975) follows Joni Mitchell's prolific early Asylum era, when she moved from folk and pop toward a more jazz-inspired sound. The collection gathers newly remastered versions of For the Roses (1972), Court and Spark (1974), the double live album Miles of Aisles (1974) and The Hissing of Summer Lawns (1975), with essential tracks like "You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio," "Help Me," "Free Man in Paris" and "In France They Kiss on Main Street." The set features a previously unseen cover painting by Mitchell and an essay by Neil Young. All four albums were remastered in 2022 by Bernie Grundman.
