Lost in Space is the 1983 debut from Boston's Jonzun Crew, early pioneers of electro-funk who helped lay the groundwork for techno. Formed by brothers Michael, Soni, and Larry Johnson and championed by Afrika Bambaataa, the group paired vocoders and outer-space motifs with infectious grooves on cult classics like "Pack Jam (Look Out for the OVC)," "Space Is the Place," and "Space Cowboy." Tommy Boy reissues the long-out-of-print album as a limited colored pressing.
