On her ninth studio album, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith explores perception, expression and communication — how we translate inner experience into something others can understand when words fall short. Working alone over three months in her home studio with her signature Buchla and other modular synths, orchestral sounds and voice, she developed new vocal-processing techniques and intuitive structures organized around six distinct inner "voices." The result moves beyond ambient into avant-garde pop, neoclassical and the unclassifiable — playful, inquisitive and deeply human.
