Trumpeter Kenny Dorham's Afro-Cuban, reissued for Blue Note's 75th anniversary, blends hard bop with Latin rhythms. First issued as a four-song ten-inch in 1955 and expanded to LP in 1957, it features an all-star cast including J.J. Johnson, Hank Mobley, Cecil Payne, Horace Silver, Percy Heath and Art Blakey. This 2014 pressing is part of the label's anniversary vinyl reissue series spearheaded by Blue Note president Don Was.
