Originally released in 1972, Earthbound was one of the earliest "official bootleg" live albums by a major rock band — a gritty, lo-fi document of King Crimson's Islands-era lineup on tour in the USA. Long deleted on vinyl, it has been cut by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering from masters approved by Robert Fripp, completing the King Crimson vinyl reissue series. It remains one of the most powerful live documents of the era, capturing a band pushing at its limits.
