Percussionist Errison "King" Johnson was born in Nassau, Bahamas in 1941 and left for Los Angeles at 18, going on to record eight albums with jazz saxophonist Cannonball Adderley and play congas for Neil Diamond for over 30 years. A fixture on countless Motown sessions, he was famously described by Berry Gordy as the "unsung hero of Motown." The King Arrives is reissued here on 140-gram black vinyl.
