Laufey is a Los Angeles-based singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose transportive jazz songs about young love and self-discovery brim with wonder and wanderlust. Raised between Reykjavík and Washington D.C., the Icelandic-Chinese artist grew up playing cello and piano before falling for the jazz standards of Ella Fitzgerald. Her debut album blends modern song structures with the classic orchestral and jazz stylings she learned as a violinist, translating intimate coming-of-age feelings into grand, cinematic moments.
