Louisiana Red (born Iverson Minter) was a powerhouse blues guitarist, harmonica player, and singer. Recorded in New York with Tommy Tucker, The Lowdown Back Porch Blues was his first album and is widely regarded as one of his finest. Backed by a bare-bones rhythm section, Red works through traditional tunes and originals, his fierce guitar nearly matching the raw power of his vocals.
