Modest Mouse - Sad Sappy Sucker - LP
$24.99
LP — Modest Mouse's Shelved Early Recordings, Released 2001
Originally slated to be Modest Mouse's debut, Sad Sappy Sucker was shelved for years and finally released in 2001 on the heels of The Moon & Antarctica's popularity. Recorded at Olympia's Dub Narcotic Studio, it pairs the band's earliest lo-fi songs with a run of short, scrappy "Dial-A-Song" answering-machine recordings — a charming, unguarded snapshot of the band's beginnings.
