Rust Never Sleeps is the 1979 album by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, released on Reprise Records. Most of it was recorded live and then overdubbed in the studio, with audience noise pulled back as far as possible. The album is half acoustic and half electric, opening and closing with two versions of the same song, "Hey Hey, My My." Young adopted the phrase "rust never sleeps" as a creative motto, pushing himself toward more progressive, theatrical performances.
