Following his expansive Blue Note debut Lovers, Wilco guitarist Nels Cline pares things down to a quartet for Currents, Constellations. He's joined by fellow guitarist Julian Lage, bassist Scott Colley and drummer Tom Rainey on a set of seven Cline originals plus one piece by composer Carla Bley. The result balances lyrical interplay with the adventurous edge Cline has brought to projects across jazz, punk and alternative rock.
