X-Ray Smoke Colored Vinyl
a short history of decay is Nothing's fifth album and first for Run For Cover Records, the most hi-def rendering of the Philadelphia shoegaze band to date. Co-written and produced with Whirr's Nicholas Bassett, with additional production and mixing from Sonny Diperri, it ranges from cataclysmic industrial-gaze ("Cannibal World," "Toothless Coal") to ornate, string-laden ballads featuring harpist Mary Lattimore ("Purple Strings"). Frontman Domenic Palermo calls it "a final chapter" — the resolution of a story begun with 2014's Guilty of Everything.
