Graveyard Whistling is the 2017 release and tenth album from Texas alt-country stalwarts Old 97's, recorded in the same Tornillo, TX studio as their 1996 debut Too Far to Care. The band retains all four original members — Rhett Miller, Ken Bethea, Murry Hammond, and Philip Peeples — and is joined by collaborators including Brandi Carlile and Butch Walker. Recognized as pioneers of the alt-country movement, Old 97's deliver another set of sharp, rowdy songwriting.
