An Evening With Ornette Coleman, Vol. 1 is drawn from a 1965 concert at Fairfield Hall in Croydon, England, capturing Coleman during a transitional period of experimentation with contemporary classical forms. The first in a two-part series, this limited edition was mastered from the original analog tapes by Grammy winner Bernie Grundman and pressed on 180-gram transparent pink vinyl at Pallas in Germany. Originally released for Record Store Day Black Friday 2016.
