The recordings have been released in various forms over the years, though the last US vinyl pressing is now more than 40 years old.
Presented as the first in a two part series, this reissue shines a new light on the fantastic recording from a world-renowned jazz great. This limited edition release was mastered from original tapes by Grammy Award winner Bernie Grundman, and pressed on 180-gram transparent pink vinyl at Pallas in Germany. Originally released exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday 2016.
